In 5 hours I've seen a descent of 20%.
"kernel-config show" shows the right value (thanks corduroysack), so everything as expected, except the battery percentage.
It's true that I have Sociality updating every 15 minutes, ZapLoc (connecting for 40s every half hour and sending location to Latitude every hour), email checking every hour, and raised brightness from 2 bars to 3 bars. On GSM and without switching off WLAN interface.

I have just noted that 0.7% ran out since last check 6 minutes ago or so (hell, another 0,1%). Something is sucking my battery power! Maybe I have to let all battery go away until I see something.

I'll run OptimizeN900 script, just in case there's something running badly...

something is definately sucking your battery quick.mind you have a lot of apps phoning home automically. i have always had my brightness on bar 3 of 5 and the apps only update when i want them to. i've been hammering mine with web and twimgo and it's holding up good i'll know better tomorrow when i can see from my normal days use which is a lot

might have to employ a battery graph to see more detail for a bit.

Yes, I have quite a few apps working. But it is this case that I want to test. Maybe this only improves battery on idle, and other behaviour just sucks the same as always. But seker_94 and karam said they could browse for an hour, used GPS for another hour, etc, and they didn't run out of battery for 4 days or such...
Hmmm... I'll see tomorrow.

EDIT: @seker_94 and @karam:
Do you have background working internet apps? Emailing updates, Sociality, Latitude updater or similar?

@karam and others....

don't change the default profile of kernel power.

Instead load the ideal profile, save it and make changes to that and make it your default. I have the battery tweak mentioned in the thread for months now, it has increased my battery life to one day (always online on gtalk, gvoice. surfing for may be 30mins, playing songs on some player couple of hours, 5 email - one nokia messaing with push, 4 imaps updated 24 hrs). claims of 4 days might be true if no active net is used and phone is used in stand by for longer time as it hardly takes any battery.

if you have made changes to default, recommend to revert back and load ideal (efficient in saving battery compared to default), save it as your profile, make vdd changes/power bias and freq changes and make it as your default.

please read the overclocking wiki for more details.

i see that some people aren't managing to make it work
i thought it wasn't working in the first place
but when i used N900 for 30 minutes
about 25 percent are gone
but when i have left it standby it increased 20 percent
= only 5 percent are gone

@mehulrajput
the ideal profile causes reboots for me
idk if it does to karam or anyone else
i will pm him about the idea
