Oh but the hw doesn't really matter, not at all, don't worry, it will compete even with handsets armed-to-the-teeth with hw, all because of our magic dust sw.
Add to that the extra goodies you get when you have an open platform that you are able to tweak and the delight of using the familiar GNU toolchain, it is just impossible to resist

You dont need to be 64bit to have 2GB, & the new iPhone is the iP5S not iP6, it's 64bit, not sure if they doubled the RAM though, can't recall.
The sw/ecosystem experience better be so compelling that it'll be enticing to even the most entrenched Android/iOS/WP/BBX users then.*
They've put sooo much emphasis on:
They've said very clearly & regularly it'll be approx. a mid-ranged/specced device, but one that's still literally "a high-end experience".
And all that still remains as murky as ever, if they're not going to deliver (at all) on hw, they better bloody well deliver there, or I'll visit HQ to give Marc a Chinese burn.
*& by that I don't mean the 64k +- nerds that hang-out here, if they're to survive longer-term they'll need to appeal to a FAR wider audience

Ofcourse not, but the reason more memory is often the more bits used the more memory also used.

Oh come on, those spec are pretty good. It doesnt matter if its highend or lowend, it matters if its fast enough and dual krait is fast. Sure it's not the fastest but its much faster than our old a8.
Resolution? Its like you will ever hardly notice the difference. In webpages, yes of course but you would have to be 10years old to read a webpage without zooming it on a 5'' screen fullhd.
The thing that worries me is 1gb of ram, but still, how many of you remeber when 1gb was hard to fill on a pc? I believe it will be alright.
If we want a 'highend' jolla of your point of view we must support them and hope their third phone will be a 'highend'.

It's the usability and feel that counts, in the end, and I have no doubt when you set the Jolla device next to an iphone or a s4 it will look and feel fresh and welcoming.
