I got pretty far, but I think there was a mount problem with the partitions going back reviewing everything.

this step:
# insmod /mnt/initfs/lib/modules/current/ext2.ko
# mount /dev/mmcblk0p2 /media/mmc2

reflashed, and then went through the process again, what's odd is that when setting up the partition the mmc card comes back available even after umount, o so frustrating so many little niggles..

Jpg support is an issue and has been sine the first compile of KDE by me. I am sure its something I am not doing properly when building but I have yet to figure it out. Konqueror had no GIF support on original KDE, I fixed that issue, but this jpg one is elusive? Luckily they work in Konqueror, and I changed all the wallpapers to png. I asked around some KDE developers and I am not sure what the problem is. My guess is the linker in scratchbox, but I dont know. I have been working around it, it is a known limitation of my KDE builds at this point.

Also I have been meaning to say it everyone here, if there is some setting you think I should change to make things easier, please let me know and I will consider including it. Also if you have color schemes or anything you can save them and send them to me for inclusion.
Thanks for the information re: jpg issue. At least I know I'm not crazy Making them into png's is not a big deal at all.

As for some setting that would make things easier... I'm not even sure it can be done - but resizing those windows that are still too big for the Nokia screen. As a work around, I've mapped one of my buttons to "move window" so I press the button and then use the stylus to move the window up so I can tap 'OK' or 'Cancel' etc...

That and making the Applications Menu (KDE start button) easier to navigate with the stylus.

I've do got some button/keyboard shortcuts that would make sense to have by default, but then again - the real beauty of using KDE is that every single user can set it up and tweak it to what makes them happy

He posted some backup links just this morning get them here

Also, in your previous post you mentioned some problems with the cloning process. FWIW, I didn't do it manually, instead I used the scripts found in this thread. Follow the directions starting with "Cloning the OS..." the scripts make it quite easy.

Afterwards, you'll want to do the following the enable the menu when booting (I don't think it's in the scripts)

Code:
# chroot /mnt/initfs cal-tool --set-root-device ask:mmc2
# shutdown -r now
Hopefully, you'll get it up and running today - Good Luck!
