Loving the tags on this thread - says it all really, in particular about the OP.

So, basically you're saying that "If you don't use MMS the way I am doing it then you're doing it wrong and only my way is the correct way." Congratulations, you just made yourself look like a complete arrogant crybaby with anger management issues.

The fact is, most people just send pictures taken with their camera and for that fMMS works perfectly fine. I do it myself, and I often receive such messages myself too.

Even my old Motorola v195 supports MMS so why not a top of the line phone? Are you telling me that I can't get a cup holder in my BMW 7 series? Tell me you wouldn't be upset with that.

I got this phone for my wife as a birthday present and all she does with her friends is to send and receive SMS and MMS messages. She is up in Toronto and there is a particular issue with this phone being on the Rogers network that it can't send MMS messages without putting her on a data plan, which she doesn't h ave. She has gone to the Rogers store numerous times and all they could get working is MMS receive but not send, DESPITE HAVING THE LATEST VERSION OF fMMS INSTALLED. I've had arguments with her about the phone for the past month since I got it for her and was about to throw it against the wall because the phone can't do this basic function 100% without some arcane hacking by a Rogers store smart phone specialist and it's only working 50% for her.

SORRY, but this NEEDS TO GET POISHED AND FULL IMPLEMENTED and someone needs to explain why a simple cell phone function such as MMS that has existed for a decade ISN'T IMPLEMENTED NATIVELY ON A TOP OF THE LINE NOKIA PHONE?
Im just still wondering sometimes, where people get all informations before they buy a phone or any equipment.
Where is it mentioned that the NOKIA N900 can send or receive MMS? Never and nowwhere. Ok there is fmms which is great application, but also there its mentioned that it could be that its not working for all Operators.
So If you need a special device for SMS and MMS you better should check before you buy one if the device really supports the functionality you need?!

What's wrong with you? this thread is a community effort. NOTHING made by a single person or a group from this community suck. This thread is free, you haven't paid anything for the pleasure of reading it you ungreatful ****. If you don't like it, then go to Nokia with your whining. This thread was started by mr sucker himself (yes, it's a paradox) and mr sucker sucks bigtime so you don't have to (another paradox but who cares). In the (likely) event you understand nothing of this, just repeat what everybody else is saying, and good suck to you all.

A worthless thread that adds no value to anything "sucks".

The efforts of an individual to circumvent a shortcoming dealt out by Nokia does not "suck" as it helps many many people.
It may not have all the features of it's native symbian counterpart yet but it does perform the most widely used function of MMS, i.e. sending pictures, very well.

How can you moan to Nokia about a community effort? That's like saying "moan to Nokia that fMMS doesn't do what you want", or "moan to frals that the N900 doesn't natively support MMS".

Your arguments are flawed and your points invalid.

The point here was to see if someone was working on an alternative to fMMS. And I think you know by now how I feel about that app, or do you need to hear it again and again and again? You just can't let go, can you?

Funny, can't remember having any arguments or points in that post.

The ONLY thing that sucks about fMMS is the fact that the robbing, stealing, incompetent, scrotum-less halfwits at Vodafone charge me 30+ english pence to send an MMS text. I say, hats off to frals for providing us with the means to send an MMS via the N900, and **** hats all round for Vodafone.
