That's weird. I managed to sync calendar and contacts from my N900 to my N950, both on beta 1 and beta 2. Over bluetooth. What happened when you tried?

1) What about MMC speed?
The N900 although generously given 32GB was reputed for the slow speed of it.
Any improvement when you multitasking the phone into swapping situation?

And more importantly, since we have 2 flavours to choose from:

is the 16GB quicker than the 64GB version?

2) How is it as a document scanner???

E7 failed miserably being the business phone w/o autofocus. Inconsistent behaviour of Nokia makes me hope that the N9 will have a perfect business grade document scanner (close autofocus distance for easy document scanning and quick sharing)
N900 is great thanks to good camera + FrontView + resistive screen

3) SIP client : has it been confirmed to be integrated, does it work?

Switching between IM accounts: is it still easy to switch between 2 skype accounts?

4) Auto-rotation - how easy is it to lock the screen on landscape, for one hand reading in the bed for example (while multitasking ).
I don't like devices that try to be smarter and always ground level the orientation. Live does not stop when you're at 90 degrees.

5)How to zoom in with one hand now?
Pinch to zoom is such a girly feature and who made the world believe it is good enough to limit zooming to needing 2 hands , 2 fingers most of the time?
(without kick stand + counter balance weight add-on)

I prefer to steer a bike when zooming, drink beers, change my baby's diaper.

Sometimes tap to zoom doesn't get it right.

How to zoom with one hand?
Any buttons configurable? Any other option then pinch to zoom?

If not done by nokia, I think connecting to SMB shares requires additional kernel modules => Aegis (ie, not possible at this time)

Does the n9 allow the user to set system-wide proxy server settings? (ie not just browser, but all the other apps use the same proxy settings as well)

tq

You can set the proxy per connection. I.e. you have to set the Proxy for each WLAN separately, but then it is system wide. Also the other can use it, such as Twitter, Facebook, Maps (however Maps download seems to done over some port which is blocked here).

SIP client (native out of the box) ???
Does the N9 - more a phone than a mobile computer- have the built in SIP client that made Nokia communication devices great for generations?
Yes / No

Thanks in advance for anybody who can put this on the confirmed list

Okay....

I'm beginning to think that N9 won't have as bright future as the N900 in terms of "expert developers" being able to improve the device beyond what Nokia can. The "expert developer" is now being considered as the "hacker" and is being blocked.

It seems N9 is now the new iOS/Android and need to be jailbroken/rooted/hacked to gain extra previleges. Until someone does it, our dreams of the N9 being the next N900 is just a dream it seems. (obviously, this only impacts the real geeks in this thread using the N9 like myself)

Basically, N9 is much more closed than we ever thought it would be:
