No scratches yet. However, I'm rather annoyed of the squeeking sound the device makes when a little force is applied to the left side. I remember with my iPhone 3GS how upset I was when I got the first scratch on the screen. However, as the novelty of the device wore off, I couldn't care less about scratches on the screen..

Boy is that squeaking annoying! After a couple of months I got used to it. I think we just got some unlucky odd units that squeak. At least I can overclock to 1175 without issues (yet).

And let's not jinx others with the scratch talk. Have managed to keep this screen in good shape for months.

Bljah screen protector bljah
Don't like it and it's ugly...I think It's easier to damage the unibody then the screen itself
Of course I'm using original gel protection and bag (never put my phone without of a bag in my pocket, and hell no in the same posket when the keys are)

Tell me about it! I'm obsessively checking if just maybe it would have disappeared. One night I even got up from the bed just to check it. I read in another forum that some guy dropped his N9 and this made the sound disappear, as if something locked into place. I was seriously considering doing the same but in the end decided not to. Apparently some guys got their units replaced when they complained about this issue. I'd do the same, but I'm afraid the process will take at least two weeks, and my old phone doesn't take micro SIM so I'd be without a phone, which is not an option. Maybe, after 11 months or so, if my screen has acquired lots of scratches, I'll finally attempt to get a replacement because of this squeak issue, although I have a feeling that I'll get over it eventually..

As said in that thread, toothpaste is more or less abrasive.
If you want to sand your screen down in a controlled way, go for fine sandpaper (1000 - 1200 gr/sqmm).
I wouldn't.
