Wow! So many posts in my little thread! I'm so proud!

While I haven't got any photographic proof, I've taken my n800 around Croatia, Bosnia, Slovenia and Austria. Free wi-fi at Bosnia providing me with enough youtube vids to get via mytube to make the 12 hour night train to Ljubijana fly by!

The first picture is better; it's all about small-footprint, low-carbon living, and taking your N800 along for the (bike) ride.

Now, if you told me that you go camping on your bikes (instead of in your car), I will be very impressed indeed.

You have any idea of the carbon footprint of manufacturing a bike?

Caveman-trudge all the way!

Amortized over the lifespan of the bike? Relatively tiny, I would guess.

That's fun on the trails, not on the roads.

Sadly, I'm working the night shift, but do not fret! My n800 is with me!

Hmmm, that's the heavy tent, we don't backpack that one, so the modes of transportation would be car -> canoe...

I just lost all the karma points I accumulated as a year-round bike commuter by accepting an invitation from the UofT Ecology and Evolution graduate students to fly there and present a couple seminars on my recent research. *poof*

That's like expending more energy to display a message about unplugging the charger than the charger itself would "waste" if left plugged in...

We year-round bike commuters have a lot more karma points to blow! I use only muscle power to travel more than 3500kms a year, so I get one 'free' flight per year.
