I am close to release it.

Need to solve these issues:

- GdkColor to RGBA conversion (see maemo-developers for my inquiry)
- help framework (everything is in place, but help does not show up)
- maemo-extras RSA key

Stay tuned.
If someone could help with one of those, I'll appreciate it

Hello to everyone.

I have put a new updated .deb file on the first page along with a NEWS link containing latest changes to the port.

This will be the final "first" version of the Maemo port of Xournal 0.4.2.1 and will be uploaded to maemo extras soon unless an critical bug will arise.

Please test it and report to me of every issue you may encounter.

Also I would like to know which buttons you'd like to see on the toolbar.
I want to get rid of the "next/prev/first/last"-page buttons, thus freeing up 4 icons that could be better used for Maemo. I am thinking about:

- hand tool (for panning)
- select tool
- free (maybe Fullscreen ?)
- free (maybe Shape Recognizer?)

Latest changes:

- The user interface has been fully hildonized
- Added pressure sensitivity toggle button
- Added support for the Maemo File Manager
(double tapping a .xoj file opens Xournal)
- Menus have been shortened to contain Maemo useful options
(Uncheck "Options->Shorten Menus" to get the whole menu items back)
- Color selection has been greatly enhanced
- Help support added
- Help has been translated in Russian (Thanks to ITT forum member "sashabe")
- Overall size has been reduced to the bare minimum

A note. I have put all the Maemo personalizatin (pressure by default on, shortening of menus) in the .xournal/config file and I provide one in the deb file.

This was added this morning and there's improvement in this area.

Anyway I just noticed that this file is NOT modifiable by the user.
I am aware of this and am writing a small script that backups the old config file and fix the permission issue.

In the meanwhile you can change the ownership of the file by issuing:

chown user:users /home/user/.xournal/config
as root (thus you need either becomeroot or opensshd installed or start the tablet in R&D mode).

Sorry for the inconvenience.

UPDATE: fixed

Does the package add this file to the backup tool? tx

But it's one of the features I am going to work on.

I was hoping to do it today.

I asked Neils (Maemo guy that is the maemo-extras gatekeeper guy) help in solving my issue with uploading to the repository.

As soon as we figure out where's the error, you'll find Xournal listed in the Application Manager.

If I will not be able to upload to maemo extras, I will, in the meanwhile, put it in my own repository.
So you shall wait no more than the week end ...
