I did notice that my todo's in calend didn't transfer over to the to_do app on Sunday. Thinking about it now I'm not sure that calend ever woke up for its midnight housekeeping. Hopefully others will chime in if they are noticing strangeness too.

Yep, root...I will try to find Mechdude's post....did a fast search and it did not come up...
I did use ical import...
BTW, were is the log file located so I can send it to you...as there seems to be no way to cut&paste it from within the View Logs file..just a clear log and close option...
The logs are located in /home/user/.logs/calend.log

Ok, thanks for the report. To_do not waking up may be expected behavior if you have no todos in calend for the upcoming (after midnight) day. Can you confirm whether or not you had any todos in calend for today?

I made a minor bugfix last week that was intended to help with importing Google Calendar iCalendar files. My understanding is that Google can export to iCalendar. I don't use Google Calendar though so I couldn't specifically test it. If you would like to be a guinea pig that would be great. Just use the "Import Ical" feature. If you suspect anything may not have worked, check "View Log" and report any error-type messages after the last "Started" message.
If anyone is interested in doing other testing on calend, you can backup the state of your calendar by first closing the calend app (not just minimizing it) and then doing something like this from an xterm:
cd /home/user/MyDocs/.python
cp calend_data.dat calend_data.dat.bak
Then if you want to use your previous data file close the calend app again and run (from the same directory as above):
cp calend_data.dat.bak calend_data.dat
Thank you for that fix. i installed the march 9th version, imported the Google iCal and it imported though the dates and times for appointments were read incorrectly. I couldn't find a pattern, like it got the time zone wrong or anything.
I don't think I have anything too too personal n my calendar (or too too interesting.) I could send the ical file to you if you like. LMK.
