I managed to scan other channels than 6 this way:

ifconfig wlan0 down
rmmod wl12xx
modprobe wl12xx
iwconfig wlan0 mode monitor

Thanks for infotmations.
I have tryed but with airodump-ng wlan0 it show only channel 6
and with airodump-ng -c 11 wlan0 he show also only channel 6. My wifi is on channel 11 and doesnt appear.

Any idea ?

Same here .... My Wifi (Channel 7) is not found.

Well that's a mysterious comment! Who's working on it? And where's the source code for the open parts of the wl1251 stack?

I see three packages on my N900 with wl1251 in their names: libwl1251, wl1251-firmware, and wl1251-cal. Do you know which ones are open and where the source is? Are there other packages needed too?

I get

Neither the sysfs interface links nor the iw command is available.
Please download and install iw from
http://wireless.kernel.org/download/...0.9.17.tar.bz2

when i try and run

airmon-ng start wlan0

wireless-tools latest version is installed but i'm a bit lost at the message above.. anyone shed any light?

All I have to say to those in this thread is be patient for another week or so and great things are coming for the wl1251

I'm very newbie at N900, how can I install this with terminal? I know I need to write down "sudo apt-get install aircrack-ng" but it somehow doesnt do anything,

anyone can explain one by one? which file should get first, http://download.aircrack-ng.org/aircrack-ng-1.0.tar.gz this one or some .deb file I cannot find?
