I agree - it does speak for itself and being an ex iPhone user i would agree....

However........an iPhone user would be able to demonstrate or give an example of an aspect of use an iPhone does quicker or better than the N900.... and so this saga continues....lol..

For me (only my opinion) but my experience of the N900 touch screen user interface was kinda "tap tap" ..."tap tap".. Mmmm.... and another "tap tap".. ah finally the app/menu i have selected opens.... Ironically,... "Tap Tap" - isnt there an App For That?? lol...

Diferent breeds for different phones....

I will sell my N900 the day someone shows me how to hook up my wifes 3GS to the tv or stereo (FOR FREE) and without risking the wrath of Apple so we can play divx movies from it onto our tv in the comfort of our living room as easily as the N900. Also if someone could please show me how we can stream internet radio through our surround sound speakers for parties without having to buy more iphone accessories to do so. Yeah, the "pocket pc" aspect of the n900 damn near makes it unbeatable, but a jailbroken iphone can hold a small candle to it (until you want to copy/paste some text from one app to another among other things).
However the multimedia aspects of the N900 blow every other device away hands down.

If you dislike your N900 - that's personal choice. I have an itouch, and appreciate it for what it is, but also get frustrated by the limits imposed by Apple. If you really don't know that there are more than three advantages with the N900 then I'll help;
Better screen, proper keyboard, open OS, better video capabilities, stereo speakers, half the price unbranded, camera flash, better browser w/ full flash, ir port, full bluetooth, Skype and IM integrated into contacts, better resolution camera, removable battery, mem card.

Perhaps if you had made your first post slightly less vitriolic, then you wouldn't have received such a negative response - act like a fanboy, and be prepared to deal with fanboys.

I'm sure you do know that jailbreaking is discouraged by Apple and therefore the "comparison" of iPhone to N900 is not really valid. You are comparing a "custom modded" iPhone to a "vanilla" N900. The difference here is that St. Steve has defined what the iPhone can can't do, while Nokia has decided to make N900 wide open and encourage to hack/mod it at their hearts desire.

I have no doubt a jailbroken iPhone can do a lot of things and good things, but it really is no more iPhone. Go ask St. Steve if he agree with you and if he would mind to "fix" the future iPhones so that we might actually become interested in it.
I agree. I'm far from being an Apple Fanboy. If Steve didn't want me to do what I want with my phone after I bought it he should have leased it to me and not sold it so he can stuff it.

In retrospect, yes an un-jailbroken iPhone would drive me nuts.

This forum has become unbearable, literally unbearable filled with complaining, whining, flaming and sad violins. I yearn for the days when I could get on here and learn something instead of just lose braincells. There used to be a totally different vibe around here, one with friendliness and courtesy, progression and threads like this were non existent even though the hardware and software were not as good. Those days are long gone sadly and all you get to read are threads like this.

/rant.

Insead just sell the damn thing already and stop trying to prove you are right. I believe you that there is a better device out there for you, just not for me though

As a matter of fact, what was ever available for maemo4?...3?...2?

Because it wasn't popular enough maybe?... Maybe because they were internet tablets and thats it and more of a developer/linux people rather than the mass audience..

Go ahead take a look at the people who registered in 2007 or 2006... u will see that they have a great knowledge about linux and maemo.. now take a look at the people who registered when they heard about the n900 most of them are like.. how do you gain root access. etc (including me btw)..

What I am trying to get to here is that since now N900 and Maemo is opening up to the mass even more and gaining more attention... Nokia and the big companies will start taking care of Maemo and developing for it...

And my life is great thanks, might question yours though
Ever heard of ebay? Did you REALLY think you'd get a better price offering it on here, to a smaller community nearly all of whom own the item already? I would therefore suggest you are either a wind up merchant or have the decidion making of a congenital idiot.
