I think its great that the announcing dates. I would like them to do it all the time for products/updates.
For example, Ovi store. If the say. We will update the ovi store with new content and improvments 27th.
The important stuff is that they also give a simple reason if its not working at that date. that is the failure.

All i can say from my personal experience (as devel and testing user) I don't really have any feelings to this (fully expected) delay as the few new apps in ovi they mention would be a nice additon, but nothing I really need anymore.

I know what you want, but them announcing dates doesn't give you that.
You can have one of two things:
a) They work on something as hard and fast as they can and release when ready. In this case, they can not/should not give a date. (They will have an internal schedule, sure, but it's not a good idea to make that public as it's always subject to change. Things do and will go wrong.)
b) They already finished working on something, it' ready and tested and will be released as soon as somebody in charge pushes the button. The things holding back the release are not directly related to the project, like marketing issues or (in case of the Ovi Store) a dependency on a firmware upgrade. In this case, they can give a date... But then I expect that this date will not change. Telling us the Store will open on May 27th and then not doing anything until now implies that something went wrong again, which in turn means that they did not test the whole thing before... which makes me wonder who those people are and how they work.
