Open xterm, go to the directory with your theme file.
For example if the file name is 123370-clock-transparant.tar.gz:
Code:
cd /home/user/MyDocs
unpack the archive:
Code:
tar -xzf 123370-clock-transparant.tar.gz
Feel free to post screenshots, if you found some nice

Hi Nicolai, i'm having problems unpacking my archive files using the code you've given...

tar -xzf 123370-clock-transparant.tar.gz

i have this same file, however mine is called, '123370-clock-transparant.tar.tar'

Do you think the error is with the spaces between the words?
Thanks,

What error?
Normally, if the file extension is ".tar" you can extract the
contents with
tar -xf <filename>
Either the extension ".tar.tar" is an error and you can rename
the file to 123370-clock-transparant.tar, or you have
to extract the file contents 2 times.

tar -xf 123370-clock-transparant.tar.tar
tar -xf 123370-clock-transparant.tar

Hi Nicolai,

This is what i've been doing in xterm...

Root shell enabled BusyBox v1.10.2 (Debian 3:1.10.2.legal-1osso30+0m5) built-in shell (ash)Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.

/home/user # cd /home/user/MyDocs
/home/user/MyDocs # tar -xf 123370-clock-transparant.tartar: can't open '123370-clock-transparant.tar': No such file or directory

Are you sure you typed the filename right?
try the command
ls -l 123370-clock*
to verify the file is in the current directory.

I don't know if your desktop computer can
handle tar.gz files. So, I put the svg-files in a zip archive.
Hope this helps.

I put together 2 clean and easy to read clocks and packed them in the attached zip. Use and install them as you would any of the previously posted custom clock files for nicolai's excellent widget.

The black one is in the directory named "yodude". It is a 3, 6, 9 pilot dial with a 24hr GMT bezel and ersatz tritium markings. I use it on my portrait desktop as these watches are easy to read and decipher when viewing one from bed while it is set on a nightstand.

The white face one in the directory named "YoSBB" I use on one of my landscape desktops. It's patterned after the familiar Swiss Railway clocks that are so easy to read from across the platform.

I hope someone finds them useful.

Hallo Nico, Was gibt's?

Thank you greatly for this outstanding effort. Could I interest you in porting over a simple moon phase home widget similar to what you did with the "DateToday Widget"?

Perhaps something that just shows a semi transparent image of the current phase an entered default location...

Also, could you share where the calender page image for the Date Today Widget is stored?

I would like to try and edit out the red bar on top so it could be set at the 3 o'clock position on the Desktop Clock Widget.

Hi YoDude,

someone asked in another thread for a moon phase widget.
I said, I could make one if someone can make the moon phase images.
If you can make some images, I can make the widget.

For the Date Today Widget, there is no image. The widget draws
the background. But I wanted to make a advanced version of this
widget and can include an option to change the image.

regards
Nicolai
