If you cd /etc/multiboot.d do you see Maemo 2.6.28-omap1.item?? if not then the file didn't create (or not in the right place). If so then there must be an error in the file itself.
Quicker way to get the correct item file if missing is
As for the kernel 2.6.28.10 is the power kernel. your screen shot shows you have the correct kernel (Maemo 2.6.28-omap1) in the correct place.
