The power-kernel does take up some of rootfs, but it's less than 10Mb.

There's a file called 2.6.28.10power37 is that kernel power? I'm currently running 2.6.28-omap1 I believe I'm in stock because I canceled before the kernel could be installed as I told bakour

yea im in stock guys I read the kernel power wiki. I believe I'm fine now just wondering if to delete that "power37" shouldn't be harmful to do so though.

You could do an "uname -r" to what kernel you are using. And you are correct about what the file is named.

I think you have something else taking up rootfs.

when I ran the command to see which kernel I'm running currently I got this "ls -l /lib/modules/current
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 16 Oct 4 21:25 /lib/modules/current -> 2.6.28.10power37"

but when I ran "uname -r" I get omap1

That was strange.. i am not aware of the steps of kernel-power install. Maybe it installs kernel-power-modules before you get the message. It shouldn't be a problem though as it contains the same modules omap1 would need.

Make sure you have an backup.. but you could try as root:

Code:
ln -f -s /lib/modules/current /lib/modules/2.6.28-omap1/
There are pretty much no danger in OC'ing.. Have not seen anyone fried it yet.. so that would probably be the best route.

strange indeed but what will that command do? you think it would be safer as bakour said to reinstall and then deinstall?

It are supposed to change the symlink from power37 to the omap1 folder. It will not remove the power37 folder though. So it would not change much.

I think you should install and keep it installed. There is little harm.. are you scared to fry the device you could do max 750 and be safe. Nokia actually down clocked it from 800mhz to 600mhz. My daily setting are on 805mhz with some under voltage.. so it will last about 3 days. At night i have it running on 250mhz and sometimes when needed 1000mhz.

So install it.. try it out.. if you are not happy.. uninstall

Sorry to hear that

I am guessing you just reflashed the rootfs.. well that is probably not enough. You have to reflash both images.. both Combined and Vanilla. You have probably gotten some configuration files or late loading modules corrupted.
