I got this problem too, but while i was taking out my SIM and memory card, i booted it again and it gave some more things about MMC at the end of it and booted normally.
So i put them both back in, and tried rebooting a few times, that error message doesn't even come anymore, and it works fine.

Thanks for your help
I did exactly what you said:
I removed and reinstalled the battery (any ways, the button power seems not working...)
I holded "u"
And when i plug in usb, nothing happened.
I didn't have the nokia logo.
Just the orange led. (so the usb cable running.)
After few min, the n900 boot himself, I see nothing because brightness is very low..

Sorry, I don't know if I write correctly, I'm French...
Thanks for your response

French and also big problem ..
with version 45. nothing does not flash.
after having run the flasher,, plug the N900 while holding the u key on, the phone shows the nokia logo with the usb on the top right, but this one direct to reboot the little penguin ...
I do not know what to do, I do not know either if my battery is charging (no orange LED on or on a wall or on USB)
thank you for your help

@babysugar
(I am assuming you had Nitdroid / multiboot installed? This caused the problem.)

Unless something else has happened (like you dropped it into a glass of Bordeaux) all that is wrong is that your battery is flat.

If you can charge your battery you will be OK, you can then flash.

The problem is in charging the battery, because I don't think it will accept charge in this state - but I really don't know (mine was almost flat despite being plugged in via USB for a long while) other people report not being able to charge.

Unless you can find another way to charge it your only other option is to install Meego on a microSD, U-boot will boot and you can then charge your phone. There are threads on here about how to do this - but it is not simple.

@bibounefr

Make sure you have the correct PR1.3 for the kernel , I had what I think may be the same problem, use RX-51_2009SE_20.2010.36-2_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin (or the french one). If you are using the wrong one, or the one for the eMCC what will happen is
Flasher will run --- device connects in flash mode -- Flasher connects --- flasher disconnects --- phone boots U-boot.

@elipsoid

I had installed Nitroid, but I removed few week ago...I things I also deleted multiboot but i'm not certain.
I things the problem come from the recent update of "ehanced linux kernel for power user", something call like that.

Not simple ? Or can i reinstall Nitroid ?
