Thanks, qole!

Well, decided to take a look at the install instructions for linux and just executed the script in terminal:

Code:
sh tr
and Voila! TR opened!

Very cool to see this app running on this lil' bad boy....

EDIT: It looks like the TR is open source...
I think that's the free version....version 2.2.1....while version 3.0.3 is the paid version....which is what I'm using on my Mac and PC.....

If only we could use a USB Flash drive, I could easily move the data file between my 3 devices.....

Here's a few photos for you....

Plug the N900 into your PC and put the image in the "Nokia N900" folder. That corresponds to "MyDocs" on the N900.

thanks guys..

This is interesting, i can see the potential of this phone now, it's like a real computer, where we can choose the OS.. awesome
So maybe someday there would be a way to boot Windows mobile 7 or Symbian^3?

So the calc app is not working yet? I was hoping i could find an excel editor..
About Iceweasel, i think Microdb is better right?
Is there any other useful apps in debian that can't be found in maemo?

Edit : i saw some ppl mention gnumeric, is it as good as calc? how do i install it?

Yea, IDK why but mine only works from the openoffice shortcut...

Speaking of shortcut, how do i make a gnumeric shortcut from debian? You know just like Openoffice shortcut, so that i don't have to login to debian everytime i want to use it?

You can search for .deb packages here:
http://www.debian.org/distrib/packages#search_packages

Or you can use the synaptic pkg mg that came with the easy debian install. It's a bit slow but useable.

e: As usual install apps at your own risk.

Edit : Figured it out, just need a little bit help

I understand that to create a desktop shortcut of gnumeric i have to put gnumeric.desktop file like this

[Desktop Entry]
Version=1.0
Encoding=UTF-8
Name=gnumeric
Icon=gnumeric
Exec=debbie gnumeric
Type=Application
In here :
/home/user/.local/share/applications/hildon
Question is, i can't find the folder on Mass Storage mode, is it hidden or something?
Also where do i put the icon image files? I assume it's not available yet in the debian?

Why do you say that? OO calc does work for me, if somewhat sluggish. Gnumeric is a leaner alternative of course.
