It's in the root of SD (android rootfs)

Quick question: Does this kernel have a framebuffer console.
I know it's a verbose booting kernel (love that).

that is framebuffer console lol. and it needs to be in /system/etc as i mentioned

Can you use easy Debian on the n900 to prepare the SD card ?

If it's not installed to your SD card... It's possible.
Easier on your computer.
I'm sure it's possible. All you really need if fdsik.

Sound works perfect. Tested on a game from appstore

Hmm when i press power it doesn't turn off the screen(it stays black with communications about "what is going on with device" ). Is it normal?

Just so everyone knows. if you [right click > save as] the rootfs link it downloads a 200~250kb file and not the 43.1mb rootfs

Hello dj_steve,

you are still doing a great job and I would like to thank you.

But I've got a little problem with sound. I put the correct file in the correct folder (/system/etc) but nothing happens when I play some music. I rebooted my android twice but it's still the same problem: no sound at all!
Any suggestion?
