Here's the sidekick: Sphere man

Done in brushes on my iPhone

The screen real estate is way to small on the iphone for it to be comfortable for more detailed larger drawings. Though great fun to do small stuff like sketches/ideas/studies. The great thing is you can pull out your phone in a jiffy when ever you have 5 min. and just draw away

Just got a new app for my iPad (it was free so thought wy not), its called adobe ideas and its a vector based drawing program. Did a quick test on it this morning. I like its vector based and it has a filler function. The best is, it's easy to get this comic book look
