erm..hello..i have managed to install nitdroid on emmc (p5), however, i got a red led blinking rapidly non-stop..

i didn't have the problem during the first startup..

are there any fixes to be made?i read somewhere (i don't know if this is for 0.0.9) about a patch for restarting BME, however, the patch will break wifi..

any idea anyone?tried to search, but nothing about this red led on 0.0.9..

i'd appreciate any help regarding this problem.. =) thankyou

use the following steps to rectify this issue. I had faced the same a few days back.

mount the android partition in maemo
mount /dev/mmcblk1p2 /and

go to the data directory
cd /and/data

delete the ofono directory here.
rm -rf ofono

finally reboot into your nitdroid installation. u will find ur phone settings back at automatic and no airplane mode getting set by default.

If nitdroid was installed on sd will there be a way to upgrade to gingerbread with the upgrade files I found instead of uninstalling/reinstalling ?

On your sd card?
download nitdroid gingerbread in MyDocs then:
Code:
root
mount /dev/mmcblk1p2
cd /home/user/MyDocs
bzip2 -d gingerbread.tar.bz2
cd /and
tar xvf /home/user/MyDocs/gingerbread.tar

I just reformatted my N900 - as in, both emmc and fw. I have no SD card (the holder is broken).

I finished the guide, but upon booting and choosing 2 at the OS-menu I get "root filesystem mmcblk1p2 NOT available!". When choosing 2, which is gingerbread, it clearly states mmcblk1p2 under "Device:" yet the .item file has INT_CARD p2. What gives?

Okay,
Code:
root
leafpad /etc/multiboot.d/11* (press tab on your screen, a filename should come up ending with 11xxxxxxxxxxxxx.item)
In this file change ITEM_DEVICE:mmcblk0p2

Thank you! I had tried that earlier but it did not work. This time I excluded the $ in front. Android booting now.
