So I've reinstalled a lot of stuff with the new v3d image or whatever the latest one is. I've gotten the no disc space message. I've done localepurge, deleted /usr/share/docs to get some more space. Is there anything else I could do? How would I increase the image size to 3.5 or 3 gb? Thanks.

I have the same problem, when I start open office from the desktop and open a document i am stuck with Styles and Formatting and cannot get rid of it. When I start open office from LXDE and open a document I do not have this problem, but it doesn't seem to address how to close Styles and Formatting when starting open office from the desktop. Any body have any hints on how to close Styles and Formatting? I would rather start open office from my desktop rather that having to go into LXDE first.

Thanks

wmurpht:

Run "Set Deb HW Keys" and then you can toggle the Styles and Formatting by pressing Fn (blue arrow) + Shift + "=" (top row, second from right). This is mapped to F11.

That should be in the wiki, probably. Maybe under FAQ?

(EDIT: After trying it a few times, it seems to work best when you press the Fn key and then rock your finger down to press the Shift key as well; it doesn't seem to work pressing Shift first)

You could use a memory card to make an ext2 partition and copy the contents of the Debian image into it and having that mounted. If you make an ext2 or ext3 partition on a memory card, you should also make a small token FAT partition to make Maemo happy, I've been told.

Hi qole,

minor stuff:

I noticed that from the Debian LXDE that the My Documents folder cannot be moved with the stylus. Is that by design? Is there a way to do that from some option on the tool bar or right clicking. I checked the wiki but didn't see anything. Anyways, I was just trying to move the icon away from the tool bar because they over lap a little.

Also I am not able to create a folder on the Debian desktop using a "right click" with the stylus. On the other hand, if I open the My Documents folder I can make a New Folder in that window with the right click using the stylus. Is this how it is currently set up to work?

mscion: That "My Documents" icon is an LXDE thing. I don't like that you can't place it where you like on your desktop, either. If anyone knows a way to place it elsewhere (or maybe just get rid of it altogether), could you tell us how?

I've expanded the corresponding info in the wiki and linked a FAQ item to it. Please check!

rebhana, qole: Not so funny. LXDE should always be shutdown before turning off the N900. Sorry about that.

No luck being able to toggle the F11 keys after starting open office from the regular desktop. Going to install latest image tonight and see what happens.
