This patch will add "Patch Settings" option to pull down menu of the Calendar app. Coderus thanks for your help.

You may need to close and reopen Calendar for some changes to take effect. Try changing to another month and back if a change in Patch Settings did not get applied right away.

Please test and let me know if works! Enjoy!
Thanks a lot, it works, but it has some issues:
  • Strange, but when I enable it, the "Restart preloaded services" is not enabled and I had to reboot the phone, only me?
  • If you select "Begin week on monday", then the day name displayed on the colomn header is wrong, shifted from 1 day

I think that's because the patch doesn't affect preloaded services, only the Calendar app. So you don't need to restart preloaded services or reboot, just relaunch Calendar.

I am aware that it is not working correctly.

The weekday name header is displayed correctly, but the dates showed will start week from Sunday, when you open Calendar.

As a work around for now, you can swipe left or right to another month and swipe back, it seems to fix itself. But it will be wrong again when you restart Calendar.

I will try to figure it out.

OK.
Then, I am missing something here.
From the launcher settings I cannot make 5x6, only 5x7.
That's because I am able to change the columns count and not the rows count in the same set.
Whenever I change column count in 5 it gets 5x7 automatically.
In this setting, the icons are too small (for me, at least).
That's why I thought you were talking about terminal.
It's no big deal, I have it 4x6 now, but just to understand.

Thanks for your patience guys!

Hi guys.

Over the last couple of updates Jolla changed the aplication loading animation and closing app animation.
Closing an app now looks like the screen is lagging and the background image is tearing, there is no smooth transition anymore It feels like someone forgot to turn on vsync on a old CRT monitor or when you freshly install windows and still dont have the drivers for your graphics installed.

What is the goal behind this UI changes, why change something that isnt broken? It feels like change just for the sake of change, no added value what so ever. Doesnt Jolla have more pressing matters to attend to, rather than messing with already working bits of UI?

I dont think I like where all this dumbed down, oversimplified UI is going.

I apeal to you masters of patch making, if its possible bring back the old animation of closing apps. Im willing to financialy support the author and his effort.
