Exactly what I noticed (just switched to kp52 a few says ago).
Could you please give output of
in x-term (did not reveal anything to me) and also -if powertop installed-Code:top
with device in idle mode and keyboard/screen closed? Attach the file 'out' here (looked normal to me, except around 1500 wakeups from kernel tick and device did not enter C4 state).Code:sudo powertop >out; sleep 5; sudo powertop >> out; sleep 5; sudo powertop >> out
Solution:
Please try the following.
shut down
pull battery
press power button for 3 seconds (or a bit longer)
insert battery
start up
This solved it for me. And it was not the first time, already noticed that at least one maybe two times before after upgrading kp.
So if this is confirmed by another guy and my procedure to be the solution, maybe it is worth to mention in first post(s) of kp thread(s), pali?

Your N900 should immediately illuminate itself and fly high up to the sky. It will return to you like a boomerang and bring with it a lot of fun and knowledge ...
Just joking
But what do you think what I experienced to give you that solution?
How is your experience right now?

Kernel is not ready yet to be installed in our devices until they figure out how to maintain the heat and battery drain

Is there any way to control the battery consumption like the stock kp consumption ????
N900 IS THE BEST AND THE BEST WILL BE EVER
