To run transmission full screen, run
/usr/local/bin/wmctrl -r Transmission -b toggle,fullscreen

Thanks to qole for the wmctrl line which i changed slightly.
My wmctrl comes from kotczarny's kciconsbox.

@Pipeline

How come you are averse to sharing your debian folder?

You've got me running dh_make, going on packages.debian.org, editing makefiles and extracting files from your deb to package a version with some planned improvements (well, if i can figure out c + gtk... time to grab a stack of c books and go onto the maemo site to learn hildonisation basics...)

Oh, sorry qwerty i am not averse to sharing debian folder if i had one... thats the problem... i've just been using pypackager and packaging on-device. It's probably not that difficult but i never got around to it.

As of Diablo, the author's source will build and run with no changes other than what ./configure will generate... and it will be stable.

My changes as of 1.22 are mostly defaulting to mmc2 and some basic easy re-arranging of some ui elements. All of my changes (and some which ./configure made automatically) can be seen here in the diff i just made :
http://wardenclyffetower.com/MaemoFi...-diffs-122.txt

So to be clean, you might want to start off upstream source archive or svn.

Also to note, the cache directory relocation has changed... i no longer cache relocate because the author implemented the XDG basedir spec which allows relocating in a more standard way. To view more info about this go here.

Hi, I have just installed Diablo and couldn't install Transmission from the link: http://wardenclyffetower.com/MaemoFi....rev26.all.deb
The link works, it just fails to install.
Are others having the same problem?

My webhost is down in a big way it seems... i'll give them a few days to fix it but their whole domain seems down.

I uploaded the diablo build to garage.maemo.org so you can download it here :

Thanks. It installed this time and the program runs, but I can't add torrents. I can open the torrent and choose the files to download, but the button to confirm the action is missing.

Hi, if you read this thread starting from #104 you'll find a couple of useful workarounds..

Thanks Saturn. Yep some dialogs require working around.

I've got a new version for diablo users that has a cool (additional) feature... web access.

I've done a build of transmission 1.33 and since around version 1.30 they have merged the 'clutch' web interface with transmission main executable.

So when you run transmission, you can enable the web interface in the 'preferences' screen and get a really nice remote web page for accessing the torrent engine.

So you can leave transmission running (now that diablo is stable) and remotely log in via web and add torrents, change bandwith settings, basically everything you could at device itself... and it looks better

You could even just run transmission in system tray and access the engine via maemo browser (it supports firefox, opera, safari).

Download Diablo build here or in first post... after a day or so i will update repo and maemo.org.

This is what it looks like when viewed in maemo browser :

Wow, this app is really nice. At first I doubted whether running a torrent app would be meaningful on the tablet, but after trying it, I don't see why not. It is quite robust. Thanks again.

Ok, I built version 1.34 today, but the difference is that i've properly debianised it so an extras upload is possible.

I applied your 1.22 patch to 1.34 with a minor modification. I've also moved the sort options from the view menu to it's own sort menu to make that long menu shorter. I'll do the same with the Torrent menu making a File menu. ATM, I'm working on adding fullscreen support because it makes handling dialogs much better, probably hildonising the menu bar and make it invoke the maemo browser when handling links. Oh, and see if it is possible to make the open folder invoke the maemo file manager at the right folder and if not possible, then emelfm2 instead.

Of course, I'm not a developer so expect it to take me time ;p.

Ahh, good that would be one less thing to worry about

Yes now that diablo has fixed disconnects it would be perfect time to invest time in hildonizing and pushing to extras.

Sound like good ideas... yea hopefully you will be able to easy launch dbus apps like file manager or microb... not sure how hard that is from c/c++.
