Just a heads up, in case.

If you search from xterm (I'm assuming you used "ls") for a hidden directory, you need to add the "-a".

So, to search for the canola stuff, you start your xterm.
You should be in /home/user. (You can type "pwd" to be sure.)

Then type:

ls -a

(I prefer ls -alh to get some more information.)

I though can remove the mytube....but to bad, the plug-in not work for me.

I can browse the from list of video, but can't play all the video, it prompted can't resolve the URL for the video...something like that. I've no problem to play & download youtube video from Mytube as well as from browser.

I tried uninstall all Canola software and components, run the clean-up tools, then reinstall still can't solve the problem.

Any idea why have this problem??

Hi Sakamoto,

Really weird problem, as you mentioned that all your other software is able to reach the internet. Can you please tell us :
what device are you using, version of software and version of mplayer?
Maybe this is a silly bug and if so we will fix it asap so you are also able to test it.

Of course, try the old windows style thing : after trying, close canola, go to the web browser hit youtube do a search, reboot the device and try again ? (I know it sounds stupid but has worked) : )

Anyways, we will try to reproduce it here, but we haven't faced this error message yet.

Yes, I have no problem for the Internet access, I can download email, update RSS & download podcast (via C2), but simply the youtube plug-in don't work for me, I have double-checked the wireless connection still up when try to download.

I using N800 with OS2008 ver 2.2007.50-2, the mplayer version is 1.0rc1-maemo.26.n8x0

I don't mind to try stupid steps, but can u tell me more about the "old windows style", i not sure what is it??

In fact i had installed this plug-in few days already but never success to view youtube video, and I power-off my N800 every night and boot-up next day (due to battery issue).

Saka,

the "old windows style" as a joke about "rebooting" to try to solve

Well, can you make sure you have space on the internal disk (not on the memory cards) ?

Totally :/ a youtube video has more than 50 mb.
You can also try looking at the other threads here how to create a sim link to your memory card (we are adding this option) and thus you solve the problem.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

when canola stretches the video, it causes some lag, and some audio and video problems, is there a possible fix?

asq : Canola does not stretch the video. Mplayer embedded mode does. The lag can be fixed because we tested with .24 and .26 just fine (as also commented by other users).

try to check if you have those versions, and for the stretching problem, we already send the patch that fix it to the mplayer project, so it will be probably in the next releases.

Cheers,

Marcelo
