A re-written timeline on http://wiki.maemo.org/Mer/Releases would be cool... is there any chance to do a serious guess about .17/.18/....?

you know, a dated release schedule makes a project look - dead. (and you only know it isn't when you follow sources that are not so obvious to the casual reader in the wiki).

I keep checking this thread eagerly. An updated timeline would be great.

Also a question, while I realise it wont be high on your priorities will there be mouse support available in Mer and if so will it be more useable than the solution in Diablo?

Keep up the good work.

Right, updated timeline:

This week (wk40): we're copying internally in OBS current development into :Testing and :0.16.

Next week (wk41): 0.16 release, Maemo Summit

Week 44: 0.17 testing phase starts
Week 45: 0.17 release

Week 48: 0.18 testing phase (or whatever name we call it)
Week 49: 0.18 release

1. What device are you using?
2. What do you mean? "Power Manager?"

The battery meter for n8x0 can be enabled via control panel or by editing the ~/.osso/hildon-desktop/statusbar.conf if that's what you're looking for..

In less than an hour I hope to be able to use latest testing release on my 770

Uhm... advanced backlight doesn't work... Do I have to install a modified kernel under OS2008 to enable it?
The "Settings" window is missing all the icons and clicking on the text has no effect.
Tear seems to render pages in "fit to width" mode, resulting in cut menus and weird symbols on screen.
Network Manager crashes upon reconnection to a wifi AP

I guess there's still some work to do...

I was overoptimistic... Mer doesn't work, powering off the device or rebooting leaves the user with an empty desktop...
Only the first session works (right after installation, when everything is set up) with glitches...

Just a quick thank you to all of you working on this project.
I do not have the time to contribute but I appreciate all of the efforts and output.
