No, AFAIK only one internet connection at time can be active :-(
It may be possible to activate more than one connection, but applications
like browser and FMMS relay on libconic which handles the internet
connection and does not work properperly with more than
one connection.

ok thanks for reply..is it possible to use multiple libconic using different connection??

e.g. if we can add condition something like this

if ( INTERNET already connected )
{ connect MMS via libconic2 };

Else { connect MMS via libconic1 };

Sorry, I am PHP editor ... Newbie in c language

I swear I'm not following your threads nicolai!

With ConnectNow, I find when I try to enable GPRS (3G) data connection whilst being on 2G, it doesn't connect to the 3G network before attempting to connect to the GPRS, and displays "Cellular network not available" in a yellow banner, and then "Internet connection failed. Try again? yes/no" in a pop up.

Is there a flag that can be put in that states ConnectNow will only attempt a GPRS connection once the relevant network (2G or 3G, but preferably 3G) is connected? Sort of a wait signal?

Yes, it is on the maemo.org/packages site.

The new update fixes a bug with empty/new connectnow widgets.
if you add a new widget while you are offline,
change some options but let the connection name empty,
it may crash the first time you use it. This is fixed now.

You can use Personal Dataplan Monitor widget to display data usage. It's very flexible and useful.

There is also another application called Autodisconnect. I haven't use it but it seems it could fit on your use case.

Nicolai, I have yet another feature request. Maybe a very specific use case from my side but I though it might be useful for someone else.

I usually keep my N900 always in GSM (using 2G/3G/Dual status menu widget) to avoid wasting battery, but when I want to connect to the Internet, I change it back to 3G, wait a few seconds to reconnect with the network and then press the ConnectNow widget. After browsing, I disconnect again with ConnectNow and return to 2G mode.

It would be useful for me, then, to be able to use the same widget ConnectNow to make the whole process in a single click. For example the GPRS connection widget could have an option to "change first to 3G/Dual mode if not enabled" and then, on disconnection, an option to "return to 2G mode".

What do you think?
