N9 keyboard has also been thanked a lot on the reviews. Nokia has probably created the best tactile feedback for the keyboard there is on N9. iPhone and N9 keyboards are different, but i would rank them about the same.
iPhones advantage over N9 could be that it knows to throw special characters on the main keyboard when you need them (example when typing email address there's @, typing domain name, you got .com), not needing to go in to miscellaneous characters

Though Lumia 800 might indeed just have the best keyboard of any TS phone i have tried. Coming from a guy who have owned, or owns GS, Iphone 4, N9 and Lumia 800.
It got amazing way to register just the right buttons even when typing quite carelessly.

Nokia N9 - The Perfect Clones

Guys,

Be careful... the perfect clones of the N9 are here. Except for the screen - which should be an easy giveaway - the built, form & sleekness of the 'original' are all there. Pls have a look:

Since the N9 will be my first full touchscreen phone, I'm hoping I won't miss the N900's physical qwerty.
no matter what, youll be missing the n900's keyboard.

Most of the reviews I read a few months ago suggested the N9's VKB was better.
Not hugely so......

But I'm not surprised "popular opinion's" shifted, doesn't mean it's the reality though.

I dont miss it a bit. I do 90% of my coding/development on my PC, the rest on the device. I access it via SSH over Wifi.

I loved the N900. I had 2, the first was a pre-order.

I cant stop modifying the N9, same as the N900. But its lighter, thinner, more stylish, faster, has better screen, better battery life, seems more mainstream so it gets more Store apps, etc, etc.

For me, the N9 IS the successor of the N900.

NEW : Time Lapse App for our N9

A new app is available at the Nokia Store: FastMotion Timelapse Camera, developed by Harald Meyer (the same developer who brought us Camera Pro for the N8).

FastMotion timelapse recorder turns N9 into a timelapse (time-series) video recorder. Timelapse videos can be created both from the live camera, as well as from previously captured pics (eg. the gallery).

Having both, I strongly disagree! The Lumia's keyboard is not bad, but the one of the N9 is still far better. I rate the keyboard by the amount of typos I make while writing. Also the keys on the Lumia are smaller and harder to hit.

No, please not! That would be a huge step back.
