Course, to run any games it'll need psemu-video-x11-1.15 for graphics and the alsa plugin for sound.

The x11 plugin has Unmet build dependencies: libgtk1.2-dev | libgtk-dev xlibmesa-gl-dev | libgl-dev btw...

There are software gl emus floating around for gp2x, gizmondo etc, if someone wants to take a crack at it

hey im new to maemo an linux.. i recently just brought a n900 and was wondering if thers any news on a ps1 emu for it? thank you

When we can't even get a SNES emulator to run at fullspeed with no frameskip... PSX is pretty much out of the question.

Don't mean to diss you man, but you have no idea what you are talking about.
The HTC touch pro 2 which has a by now ANCIENT processor can run a few PSX games on full speed with no frame skipping.
I wish we had something like FPSECE for Maemo 5. I mean, with an excellent architecture and an open source OS, a PSX emu is absolutely possible. Just a matter of optimization and utilizing the GPU for further acceleration.

well, i could probably do a great port, but the point is it wont be really usable without proper controls ... im not sure i want to loose my time because of that. same (and worst) for a N64 one.

im gettin 30fps with pupniks pcsx port with ff7. not tried it with sound yet.
got frameskip set to 40 like. :/
so far have tested a few other games. heres a list.

ff7: 25-30fps but stalls in the first battle sequence.
Rayman @30-35fps: gets the the ubisoft intro and freezes
ff6@ 40fps in movie intro: gets to the title screen but dpesnt allow you to start.
MGS: doesnt load at all
G-darius @25-30fps: stalls at title screen.

there the only ones which have tried so far.
All we need is a video plugin which utilises the powerVR :/ ive looked around to try and find out what psx4all uses bcz the iphone has pretty much the same gpu as n900. but no luck.
anyone have any ideas?
or tried this?
