It works for everyone; anyway repository.maemo.org is up so you can carry on using the default repos
Asking because I haven't seen updates to any of my apps in several months, including ones that have advertised updates in their threads during that time.

No. Maybe you want to check if the apps for which you want updates for are in extras-testing/devel hence these two repos must be not present in a newly flashed device and need to be added for updates

sorry for being so noob, but...i don't know if i'm the only one that suffers from inconsistencies in the default maemo.org repositories (Extras, Extras-Testing and Extras-Devel already added and the catalogs updated). I've made 2 complete formats on my n900 reflashing the root as well as the apps and emmc storage and, although now the default repos are "aparently online", i can't install some apps because of unmet dependencies (well, it doesn't tell me "unmet" in the log of Fapman but it shows me "[...]...but is not instalable", wth?
For example, i can't install these:
Extra Decoders Support ("Depends: gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad-extra but is not installable")
Filebox ("Depends: bzip2 but is not installable")
CuteTube ("Depends: ffmpeg but is not going to be installed")
kmplayer ("Depends: xsltproc but is not going to be installed")
wgames ("Depends: libgles1-gx-img but is not going to be installed")
At the moment, these are the only ones that i can't install, but the rest is ok, so, the same problem for you? or maybe my catalogs are corrupted? if that is the case, how can clean and correct the possibly corrupted catalogs?

Try installing via Application Manager or using apt-get; if there are unmet dependencies then apt-get install -f as root would install them. I've no idea on how FapMan processes the same thing and why the unmet dependencies are not automatically fetched...

I don't know if it's already answered but is http://repository.maemo.org going to be fixed and updated? There are older versions there than on skeiron.org. For example:
no version 0.2.2 in http://repository.maemo.org/communit...urity-certman/
but it is found in http://skeiron.org/repo/repository.m...urity-certman/
Which one should be used and which one will get new updates?

Guys need some "NoobHelp" i have just returned to default catalogues and it seems that the apps in those catalogues are not fully updated cause etc the cutetube app is 1.4.1. (update) in app manager but here in the site i found it updated 1.7.1. why is that happening ???
I have tryied all the X-Terminal codes to update catalogues properly but nothing happened.
By the way i have all catalogues enabled except extras-tesing and have updated my phone to CSSU stable 21.2011.38-1Smaemo4.1.
Plzz someone enlight me i am tierd of looking for the problem my self maybe there is a solution

I believe that advice is current regarding the CSSU stuff. Normal repos apply for extras, extras-devel and extras-testing.

On 2 sets I have the same problem:
