Anyone experiencing hard battery drains with this update?

I always find either contactsd or Mitakuulu stuck and sucking battery a lot.
Yesterday it didn't finish the day with TWO charges.

Killing the daemons didn't help but for a short while.

Right now contacts was keeping the load at 1.75 and the battery is already at 75%! which is unusual for this time of the day for it.

Hi, I did upgrade on day of release and my (usually) not so power hungry device experienced sam problems you describe. I also got misterious map update.

I did complete reset of device and troubles are gone + there was no map update.

I should note that prior rest I choose to create backup on SD card, file "backup.tar" was created, but after restore it was empty, useless.

It's not useless, you can copy it to SDCard (inside the app from pulley menu). Or move it to your PC.

It's like on a PC. If you you format c: or repartition it and have your backup there: Then it's your own fault.

So, is anyone happy to do a big run-down of all improvements (subtle or otherwise) & all regressions?
Has it surpassed Freemantle/Harmattan overall IYO, or is there still too many limitations/regressions?

Thanks for reminding me to read instructions more carefully ...

So, note to everyone -- pulley menu "copy to memory card" copy *existing* backup(s) to memory card and if no backup exist, it will still create file "Backup.tar", but it won't contain anything usefull.

My mistake, I thought it will create backup directly on SD card ...

Suggestion to Jolla -- if no backup exist make some warning like "No backup exist, create it first" ...

I'm very happy with the improvements so far. At the same time it will probably never be my main phone. Maybe in one or two hw iterations it will be ready to compete. Quality takes time to build.

I was kinda hoping for LOTS more detail/specifics than that, but thanks for your "insights".
