If it's not, I'd wonder what the engineers have been doing for the past several months. Probably moved on to Meego, most likely.

Hi,

I just received a n900 back from Nokia repair.
It has software 3.2010.02-8.002?
Is it the latest official one, or a new one?

That is PR1.1.1, same as the rest of us are using.

MeeGo for N900 should be possible because I was wondering why they should be announcing and porting some developer files for N900 the last time around.

Out of amusement, I thought I'd call Nokia and ask them whether there would be paid app support for the N900 Ovi Store any time soon - via PR1.2 or otherwise.

Response: On hold for ages. Then....

We don't know at this stage. We hope to add paid support at some time but it is unlikely to form part of PR1.2 as that is largely fixes. Ovi Store is basically a web service.

Could get nothing else from them. Wouldn't be drawn on release date except "soon".

Does'nt stop me wanting it though
Not to forget currently there're few apps in the repositories for weeks which we can't update due to it's ready for PR1.2.
Those who have uninstall/re-flash their device will not be able to install.
Those who just bought N900 recently, will not be able to install.

Finally, PR1.2 brings Qt4.6, most probably better stability and refinements, which would make our N900 better.
