I am using libwebkit 1.0-svn41137-2 and tear, 0.3, on 2008He/770, it automagically connect if not already online. How difficult to upgrade to your version? Anybody?

Well, there are newer Tear and libwebkit for 770 in the same place you linked in your first post. The latest Tear may not work, but I'm running 0.3.1 and libwebkit 41137-8 on my 770 and my toolbar is hiding okay

I installed the webkit ...-9 without problem. I cannot locate tear 3.1, I got tear 3.1-1 from garage and it said, cannot install. I will play with it later.
A little off topic, I installed mplayer ...N8x0 by mistake, it wont uninstall unless, mplayer -plugin is uninstalled, mplayer plugin wont uninstall unless media player, ....are uninstall. Is there a command line command to uninstall an app, like
gainroot,
apt-get remove --purge app, something like that?
I have mplayer .....N8x0 installed on my 770 and of course it does not work. Can I force install mplayer ...N770 on top of it? Or I should uninstall the wrong mplayer 1st?

thank you, tear 0.3.1 installed but is NOT working. It open a blank page, no dash board. I enter a website, it does not do anything, it just sit there. how do i go back. It was working with 0.3 and webkit..-9.

Tear problem solved, I installed tear 0.3.6, it installed and worked. Yike! My 770 is now running libwebkit-1.0-1 1.0-svn41137-770-9 and tear 0.3.6. It runs very smooth and all is well.

Download the mplayer package and try with dpkg -i mplayer....deb
