Good day,

I have problems with Google Video/Audio calls on n900. A solution to this problem on N9 was similar to the one suggested here on the first page, so I think it may help.

Now, it doesn't work. I tried to follow the instructions in the first page to the letter.

The phone is new, I have just updated to PR 1.3.1 and installed CSSU to make modest work with gmail.

Here is what I did:
1) apt-get install busybox-power
2) apt-get install kernell-power
3) downloaded *.deb and unpacked zip
4) dpkg -i omap3-dsp-baseimage-ti_0.i3.6-15+0m6_armel.deb

Says "wget is not found". I am positive wget is installed and works fine.

so I tried

4) dpkg -i --ignore-depends omap3-dsp-baseimage-ti_0.i3.6-15+0m6_armel.deb

then it says error

wget https://username: password@servername.com/package.deb

this is not http or ftp url.

Any ideas?

@markai:
1) apt-get install busybox-power
I guess your wget comes with BB-power. Never tested, you need wget from the repos.

Indeed, it was the problem.

apt-get remove busybox-power; apt-get install wget;

and then follow the very first page. Now the phone doesn't boot at all. I switch it on, get a screen with the Nokia logo, then hear a vibrate sound several times. Then I see a green note in large capital letters saying that due to an internal error the system will shut down in 10 seconds.

Is reflashing via nokia suite still possible (cannot try right now)?

Any other thoughts?

Never used Nokia Suite for flashing, see

Thanks. Assuming I can flash it without issues, shall I try to follow the instructions on the first page to the letter again and hope for the best? Or is it better to wait (in case you are looking into it)?

Try it, I guess your problems were caused by BB-power and its removal. Just don't install BB-power before retrying

Never had problems while following OP instructions with BB-P on board, BB-power's wget didn't have any problems downloading.

BB-P removal shouldn't cause such weird'os too, but keep in mind, that being core system component, normally *not* upgradeable from extras, it must rely on dirty hacks (binary file replacement via postinst scripts, backup of original file, done in reverse during uninstallation). So, there is always chance that something could go wrong.

Normally, CSSU was created for *exactly* this kind of packages - to allow system core components get upgraded, without binary replacement via voodoo scripts. Sadly, against common sense and logic, bb-power isn't included in CSSU, so people like you are "doomed" to get in troubles like above, from time to time.

Found! Maybe somebody can update the wiki?

I am sorry to be so much of the trouble, but I cannot get the flasher from the link above. All I get is "404 not found The requested URL /maemo-dev-env-downloads.php was not found on this server. "

The full address is http://tablets-dev.nokia.com/maemo-d...-downloads.php

Got home, made a cup of coffee...

The link to Maemo Development Environment Downloads on http://wiki.maemo.org/Documentation/...mo_Flasher-3.5 seems to be broken as well...

I am using Ubuntu 12.04 TLS at the moment, so .deb would be just fine, I think.

Update: The link I've found in the applications forum (as far as I can make it) http://skeiron.org/tablets-dev/maemo...-downloads.php is broken as well.
