Oh, and if you use apt-get, you need to move the package cache to user home or to mydocs first.

I think this should do the trick:
sudo gainroot
mkdir -p /home/user/.apt-cache/archives/partial
mv /var/cache/apt/* /home/user/.apt-cache
mv /var/cache/apt/archives/* /home/user/.apt-cache/archives
mv /var/cache/apt/archives/partial/* /home/user/.apt-cache/archives/partial
mount --bind /var/cache/apt /home/user/.apt-cache

e: weird, apt-get gives no errors....
1044 upgraded, 5 newly installed, 0 to remove and 8 not upgraded.

ln -s /home/user/.apt-cache /var/cache/apt

I was clever enough to start downloading firmware over my 3g, which is the slowest one you can get. About 30 minutes total it says. 11m left...

@HugoSon Updateing it OTA (over the Air i guess?) its still downloading.

@mece i was also starting it over 3g lol

i will report how the update will work.

apt and application manager have different policies and apt is more forgiving about some of them.
