I don't have the week number on the box either. The sticker in the battery compartment also doesn't mention any week.

You know what...the darn thing is working OK again since the day after I wrote that note. I have been connecting/disconnecting USB in mass storage mode and PC suite mode just fine. Go figure!

As some of us have noted, the behavior can be odd and intermittant. I've found no rhyme or reason to it... but in my case the fault seems to lie more with Windows XP.

For me, the USB port is probably the most secure out of any phone i've used. It feels rock solid. It's only been a day mind, but still, a big improvement on my x1.

Mine seems sturdy but I am extremely careful when plugging/unplugging.

Ha, yeah, as soon as i wrote that I had visions of it snapping away the next time I charge it. Im tender with it though! Fingers crossed anyway...

I would say such caution is justified, texrat did point out that a cheap surface mount connector is in the N900 so such breakage is quite possible...
