Because freemangordons instruction had $DOWNLOAD_DIR I tried to check the $ directory with ls -la

Is it normal to have many users to some? Or should understand user meaning here an application access? Not yet there learning linux with a youtube courses.

Could not get EMMC flashed but gonna try the whole process again after I get that flashed as well.

This is a place holder not a real environment variable. Replace it with the real location of the deb file. For example

So the problem was the same of which I have made a point before: to a newbie with linux (like over ten years have been using) when people in the forums give instruction scripts and put it a form like /put/here/your/file/path/ (which I would NOW understand but not in the beginning of my journey) it would be good to put an example of it too.

I have gone to the folder where I have downloaded the file and done dpkg -i there and normally everything has worked. This was the first time it was needed to put the path before it. I can't understand why so. I will have to try with the mediaplayer but with openmediaplayer it didn't yet play which I don't understand why because some say it works with them.

But maybe I won't try to stick with this problem which seems to be solved. I am still not absolutely sure of what all was needed even though I tried to tell everything. I think I will now try to reflash once again with also flashing the EMMC and try to make it work to get absolutely right steps for others.

Now when I finally got it working (which I'm really happy for!) I try to break it. Gonna then try to make a wrap up.

By the way: Is there a reason why no one answers my questions concerning TLS 1.2 enabling? My Opera in hows my ssl page has TLS 1.0 and I would really love to know how to change that. But if nobody can answer it I follow steps n N900 security update thread and try to describe what steps I know and others can fullfill. I am still curious why it has just been like nobody sees those words I write 'cause for other things people have answered. And I have tried to search the forum of the topic and gone through threads so it is not so obvious to find an answer.

Just a quick note.
It is reported on youtube-dl github page that API has changed yet again breaking youtube-dl. Unsuprisingly cutetube2 now also fails to work.

Do you mean it has changed again, recently like yesterday or so? Or earlier? Because at least for me, cutetube2 still works.

Cutetube2 not giving any downloadable streams. Has youtube made changes again? I haven't done anything (I think). Anyone else having problems? I have only downloaded Picodrive and installed a few games. Could that have messed things up?

It seems that I may lack some codecs from media player. It shows stream for some and for some not. And I can download some but some not. I have made open mediaplayer as my default player. Do extra-codecs affect also openmediaplayer or only the stock one? There are some documentaries I would really like to download.
