what are the chances autodisconnect gets promoted to extras-testing soon, calvin_42?

Hi,

actually I fixed it myself.

Cause today I ran out of battery because my 3g connection was not closing anymore. So I just reset the whole device (only have it had for few days)

So now it works perfectly again. Maybe have to check out the best idle traffic, so that it does not disconnect pidgin etc. but that's details.

Thanks for your help anyways and keep up the work. This software is realy useful and I'm wondering why Nokia combines a crappy battery with no possibilty for autodisconnect 3g or wifi. The N97 has this function ...

"Promotion of Qt 4.6 based applications is blocked due to possible conflicts with upcoming Maemo 5 releases"

So as soon as PR 1.2 is released, Autodisconnect will be in extra-testing.

i cant get mine to work

So far i installed auto disconnect
disconnected my wifi
turned it to 1 minute and 9999kb
select enable
reconnected wifi
and after a minute of not using the phone it stil doesnt connect :s

Any ideas?

well you need to wait at least 2 minutes in worst case scenario. further you could check with "ps |grep autodisconnect" if the script is actually running.

In complement, you can check the log file : /var/log/autodisconnect.log.

Open your terminal and type :
