How about OBS? Mer has up-to-date hardware support for tablets, and those packages could be "linked" from project to another. Once the original package is updated, the linked will be too.

Thatīs a pretty nice idea but i fear that if we went with that approach their would be a (LOT) of of broken packages/missing dependences - the package dependency structure of Ubuntu-NXX0 is quite different from Mer. (ubuntu-NXX0 uses the sys-env-* dependency structure)

However, if anyone is is still interested and is up to the challenge, iīll see about creating a launchpad project so (anyone) who wants to directly contribute to the project can. (If this project is to continue there should be other people involved in helping to develop this project and not just me - i donīt have the time/resources required to keep this project going myself, i donīt have as much free time as i use to )

enhanced fedora port has been canceled in favor of NITDebian (TBA)
