I ordered on the 7th as well, but still on backorder.
Last week I e-mailed Nokia's customer service, and they said orders placed before the 11th would be sent this week.

SHIPPED !!! Finally !
My Nokia 770 (FR, DE, AT) ordered on Nov 4th (#200558) has been shipped today.
I even have a UPS tracking number.
In the end, they managed to meet the "end of november" deadline (at least for shipping) !
