How about a white shirt? I really like the Skype shirt from the last summit. And something without orange would be great too. I kind of have enough from looking at all the maemo.org websites all day

Ok, but that's only my unqualified opinion! I'm really happy to get a shirt at all. Even better if it has some custom graphics which fit to the event

EDIT: Oh and I like the second Columbus more. It's nice to see the statue completely, but the half circle with the label below looks cleaner to me.

I also quite like the secondm Columbus a bit more.
But I am not that fond of the device in it.. it's funny, but doesn't make that much sense?

Dunno...

Hello, well I can do that of course and as a "user to be" of the N900 I understand why you all like the device in the logo (it also recalls the original idea of this meeting "UX meets Code" even though is not about that only anymore), as a designer I would not do it because it would become loaded with too many concepts and one of the primary rules in design is "keep is simple". But as I told you if the community prefers it, I have no problem in doing it. Quim when do you need it? I can send you the logo with the changes tomorrow morning and also with something for the back.

I'll ask today to the merchandising providers but I suspect tomorrow is about the last day we have.

Thanks Samantha for all this work! With only 7 posts you have earned the respect as the designer of this shirt. we don't have time to discuss shirt color etc so we will do whatever you say and deliver by the end of today.

I had some ideas but Samantha has been doing such a great job I was just happy watching the work.

But I do have one idea I'd like to see incorporated. It occurred to me it would be cool to have a theme for codefests regardless of location... so I thought: "how about getting code into the design?"

From there I figured "why not Morse code?" and a real play on words by having the word "code" in Morse. So...

Thoughts? (note: that color is unofficial, I was being lazy)

That's great to hear Quim
I just woke her up with this news... she'll express soon her happyness.

I will bring her to the meeting the first day so that she could be proud of seeing more than 50 people wearing her logo.

Thank you very much!!! I am working on the back right now. Did you prefer the circle or the half circle?
Just to give a try I also included Colom in this little different shape.

Thanks Samantha,
for me the best is still the half circle. I get associations of sunset on the beach which are (of course) very positive
The shape of your last post reminds me of church windows where I have err... well... different feelings attached

But again, thatīs only me...

To make it simple I have put the three version together, I am not very happy about the third one.
I go on in working on the back, i will get back as soon as it ready (I will try to be super quick)
