I wonder if accelemymote can be used for this purpose. In theory, it maps the accelerometer to a joystick, and most DOS games supported joysticks as an alternative to mice...

Just fired up the demo of Championship Manager 97-98.

It appears that the screen goes off the bottom of the display so there are dialog boxes I can't click to start the game.

Any way to sort that?

I'm going to try the post earlier to fix the misaligned mouse.

first of all, thanks javispedro for the mapping of number keys.

my problem i now face is i can't get sound working. it has something to do with ALSA:

ALSA lib seq_hw.c:457: (snd_seq_hw_open) open /dev/snd/seq failed: No such file or directory
ALSA:Can't open sequencer
MIDI:Opened device:none

i've been looking for a fix but couldn't find any. thanks in advance for any help.

This is related to MIDI only. Do you need MIDI?

Well, I suggest experiment with the desktop DOSBox.

i have dosbox on fedora and the game sound is fine there.

Last edited by nokix; 2010-05-19 at 02:50. Reason: it turned out that i couldn't hear the sound because my profile was set to "Silent". who would've thought? the sound needs some tweaking though.

i've pr1.2/emmc flashed my phone two days ago, installed dosbox. whenever i try to run duke nukem 3d (ye i know, there is a native build, i was just messing around) in dosbox, it crashes the os! other dos games don't. oh i use rover.sys btw, don't know if its relevant, haven't tested without.

Dear all,

I managed to read all the posts in this thread and I got the keys work...sort of. They work when I am at the command prompt, but when I launch a game they work no more. For example when I run "Ironman super offroad", I cannot select the sound properties because I have to use the numbers to select them. Therefore I assume that the problem is in the keys.

Has anyone had any problems like mine in any games. Could someone try super offroad if it works with you?

Thanks!

This means that "Ironman super offroad" reads the keyboard not using bios services, thus bypassing keyb. You will be able to get numbers working by using the dosbox mapper (open a terminal and run "dosbox -startmapper"), but not any other keys.
