installed without problem but cant add contacts,get an red and green area and thats it, no contacts visible within the green and red areas, how to add contacts,thanks

Hi Felipe, deleting the folder eventually worked. But I still have a problem though. Akrhough my contacts are visible and I can add contacts to the groups etc. Clicking on them, whether in the application it self or in the widget, brings up an empty screen!! So no contact details like phone numbers are visible.

In most cases you can install MyContacts like you install any other application: just go to application manager and install it.
As far as I know there are only two issues with the setup:
- you need to make sure to close the application and remove the widget/applet from the desktop before upgrading it. If you don't you may need to uninstall the application, reboot the phone and install again.
- for some reason that I still don't fully understand sometimes the application manager will not install the qt mobility package automatically and will not allow you to install mycontacts.
If you didn't upgrade the application while having it running/installed on the desktop, the application manager did not complain about missing dependencies and now you have an icon on the menu for mycontacts you are good to go.
I am currently investigating an issue with qt mobility crashing because of "malformed" addresses, this may be the case with you.
Please send (PM) me the /home/user/.mycontacts/log.txt file.

Anyway, I'm attaching a /.mycontacts/log.txt file instead since the file doesn't have anything personal. I neither delete nor add anything into the file.
PS: I tried what you suggested
I removed everything out of my 4 desktops, uninstalled both libqtm-contacts and MyContacts, rebooted, and reinstalled it. It still didn't work.

Sure, the applet takes a lot of place, but it's fine to be able to have groups!
Custom ringtones works very well: it will be perfect with daemon
Do you think it will be possible to use the groups to sent a sms, in a next release?
