Now my MyPaint won't open.
I uninstalled and installed it again.
I click on it and it opens a black window briefly and it closes and nothing happens, it gets back to desktop..

run-it from the terminal(without root). Maybe you will get some error messages.

you installed version 0.8 from extras or 0.9.1 from extras devel?
Install 0.9 from extras devel if it is not that version.
