Rescue OS http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...t=ubifs+ubuntu installs surely have the capabilities to extract the rootfs ubifs file system to check the fs. , but quite frankly, never played with that one.

Given that, just exactly what screenshots do you imagine would help? Talking about restore seems, well vague, given that backupmenu and anything non-stock likely is not on your phone now. Unless you meant something other than reflash or need to specify what you mean by restore....
And if the screen remains blank after a reflash, you likely have little point in restoring, unless.... (fill-in-here-your-goals)....

Free Space on SD card: 1.1G s) Backup to SD card, partition 1 w) Same, but compressed (VERY slow) Free space on MyDocs: 12.1G m) Backup to internal eMMC, MyDocs j) Same, but compressed (VERY slow) x) Exit this menu
q) Restore RootFS only (not recommended) t) Restote RootFS & OptFS (recommended) p) Restore OptFS (NOT recommended) x) Exit this menu
q) - SD card p) - eMMC/MyDocs x) - Exit this menu and reboot
e) Erase all files from OptFS Any other key: Exit to main menu

I am not sure that Nitdroid gaot all the capabilities to runall the commands from the Terminal.
