Hmm, the keyboard doesn't work. I did install the software and rebooted. What could be wrong?

Edit: after another reboot it works

So far the back's a little bit wobbly and the spacebar could use a little more pressure points but other than the initial result is awesome so far

completely agree but would like to share my experience with the Moto Photon Q...
sliding out the keyboard does indeed tend to set most applications in landscape mode however a number of Android screens (settings comes to mind) stubbornly keep in portrait mode, so i guess, N900 was (one of) the last barrel(s) to get off the platform before it was lost and expecting a mobile device that (simply) works will require... some more coding on the part of the community (though i only got my 1st N900 about 5 years ago, so i don't know how bad things were right after the release)

PS: the device runs CyanogenMod 11 (4.4.2), as "community" as it possibly can

PPS: thanks by the way for including it into the SailfishOS port effort

PPPS: so far, the only properly working mobile i found since my 2nd N900's USB port went south is a Lumia with (of course) 8.x
not looking forward to 10 update / upgrade, as it will be same ol' m@ke$$h!t crap over again like 7 was, before NOKIA got to work on it...
maybe Jolla & TOHKBD2 will have to rise to the challenge?

Vistaus,

could you please post a picture of your Jolla with TOHKBD2? i ordered an orange-mapple one because it was the closest to THE FIRST ONE TOH but if the Jolla & TOHKBD2 has to become my primary that obviously would become... a little too flashy, maybe?
then again, if Jolla + TOHKBD2 prove to be usable, they deserve the attention

EDIT: with usable i don't question the TOHKBD2's team effort - you guys are doing a tremendous job!
what i think currently is not up to par is SailfishOS, alas
will that ever change?

It should be installed automatically, but I guess that didn't happen?

No, not sure my phone even detects the keyboard.

What I meant was that connecting the keyboard currently locks the display to a anti-clockwise landscape mode. As the design of the keyboard (or rather that of the TOH bit) allows us to put the keyboard on either side of the device, I think a clockwise landscape would be nice, as opening the keyboard to the right side of the device will not obstruct the flash.

Anyway, since the TOH was designed with that in mind I'm fairly sure this will be introduced in an update later.

Obviously, as well as the layouts, or what would be the point in doing different ones in the first place, as well as having the placeholder for them in the settings app ?
