@mosiomm - Right now most of the repos do not work, I'd recommend you to wait until the whole maemo infra is up again and to retry then.

browser UI is closed source , so I really can't do much to help you. And if everything else in the system works ok, I'd rather say it is not related to -thumb.

I guess your bookmarks (DB), offline cache or some other browser file/DB got corrupted, but unfortunately can't help you with fixing that.

check if your "/usr/share/bookmark-manager/bookmarks/MyBookmarks.xml" is (or at least seems) ok. I don't know where user added bookmarks are stored, sorry, but you should check them too.

As I am convinced your problems are not related to cssu-thumb, you'd better continue on the "application x closed" thread.
@freemangordon
Finally nothing worked and I made a reflash finally. I suspect the recent CSSU-testing would have some thing wrong. So this time I decided to stay away from it. But thanks to you I really need thumb. In that case, Can I use thumb with CSSU-stable? Thanks in advance.

@bharathkumarst - the short answer - no. The long one - as pointed in the first post, cssu-thumb is based on cssu-testing, i.e. most of the packages in testing (and few more) are compiled with a different toolchain. installing thumb packages on top of cssu-stable could work (in theory), but it is neither tested nor supported. and you will have to do it by hand.

I am really surprised of the problem you had. Though I still think it was not caused by cssu. with hundreds of users on cssu-thumb and maybe thousands on cssu-testing, I'd rather assume it was some unfortunate event on your device, rather than problem in cssu. rigth now as the repos are down, you can't install cssu, so i'd recommend to use the time until they are back again and to consider installing cssu-thumb again. esp now you have a clean system.

Thanks freemangordon. Actually before two flashes, I think I had installed CSSU-stable and thumb on top of it. I did not get any issue; but I dont know whether I i actually installed stable or testing. Anyhow... Thanks for your kind guidance for this. I will wait.

Fremantle's GlibC ( 2.5.1-1eglibc27+0m5 ) compiled with gcc-4.7.

Step1, compile:
Code:
git clone git://gitorious.org/~aaporantalainen/community-ssu/aaporantalainens-glibc.git
cd aaporantalainens-glibc
fakeroot dpkg-buildpackage
-> several deb-files, only libc6_2.5.1-1eglibc28_armel.deb is used (others are not installed as default).

Step2, installing to the (thumb-)device:
Code:
dpkg -i libc6_2.5.1-1eglibc28_armel.deb
Step3, using:
Code:
reboot
Locales are broken. Seems same than in thread: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=52443 but can't be solved with the same method. E.g. 2.0MB /usr/lib/locale/locale-archive (instead of 21MB). After downgrading locales work again.

Step4, downgrade:
Code:
apt-get install libc6=2.5.1-1eglibc27+0m5

Why locales break?

Now, when the repo on maemo.org works...

I've tried to install thumb for the first time on clean, reflashed system - I've managed to do everything but last step: HAM tells me I need to install using PC Suite (I have CSSU among few libqtm-* packages listed in upgrades).

Am I doing something wrong here? I can provide more info if needed.
