As you can see, it separated and pulled the pads off, just like most of the N900 users have seen on their devices. That in spite of it having two post-throughs. Mind you, this has been traveling in a bumpy car for a few years, so that's partially to blame I'm sure.
is that a surface mounted port??? it has holes on the board.

I have good news! they sending new device to me
Hope this time all works good! If not it could be the 3rd time reporting an issue related to this thread.

Unless the manufacturing of the device is different I would expect chance of failure is same. Do you know if Nokia has changed the design of the Micro USB port?

Yeah looks like it's actually surface mounted, but it uses a couple of plastic pegs to help keep the port from moving.

Some boards are hybrid, ie, possessing through-hole and surface mount components. Exactly as the N900 board should have been.
