So, I have taken matters into my own hands and flashed my phone. It all seems to have worked and didn't take too long. I backed-up first so that I could restore my settings and applications. I used the following resources:
- Flasher: http://tablets-dev.nokia.com/maemo-d...-downloads.php
- Image: http://tablets-dev.nokia.com/nokia_N900.php
- How to upgrade firmware: http://wiki.maemo.org/Updating_the_t...ndows_7_32-bit
- How to use flasher: http://wiki.maemo.org/Flasher
