Would it be possible to add an option to the app where I can turn on/off if connections should be disconnected when charging?
Is it also possible to include the Bluetooth feature?
Thanks

Yes it be be included in the next version. Right now I have a lot of work, and that's why I haven't had time yet to implement it, but in 2 weeks max I will released a new version (PR1.2 I hope will be released too).

Well I don't really know how bluetooth works. Since I assume that you aren't talking about network over bluetooth, is there any way to get somewhere the total traffic it uses?

Then it means that Autodisconnect have never be runned. Are you sure you've checked the case 'Enabled' and clicked on 'Save' ?

- Check if the following file exists : /etc/network/if-up.d/99_autodisconnect

- Paste here the result of the following command (in terminal)

Code:
gconftool-2 -R /apps/autodisconnect

how exactly is "idle" defined within the app?
when, for example, i loaded up a wikipedia-page and its fully loaded and i'm reading it and the app checks for activity, will it disconnect because there is no datatransfer going on even if i'm "using" the internet right now?

Conceptually, yes. I don't use lsof -i command to check if ports are opened, because since n900 is an "always connected device" (gtalk, skype, etc.) I assume there may be some programs listening you would like to listen only when connection is active.

So idle here means : the traffic is under a limit you've set yourself after a period you've chosen yourself. Then everyone is free to set his own rules.

Hi Calvin,
I very much like and use your app.
Would it be possible to make AutoDisconnect a Settings applet (appearing on the bottom in an "Extras" group), like Tweakr?

i get:

~ $ gconftool-2 -R /apps/autodisconnect
param_enabled = true
param_interval = 1
param_connection_gprs = true
param_notifications = true
param_min_bytes = 99999
param_connection_wlan = true

Great app! Until I found it I was missing Symbian model of internet connection usage - app does a schedule connect, updates what data it needs then closes the connection. Now with Auto Disconnect I can achieve the same result.
Thanks calvin_42.

calvin_42 I have a suggestion for next release
Setting up rules by time of day.
Lets say that it dont autodisconnect at all between 8-18. Or just autodisconnect WLAN and let 3G be (makes "always on" exchange work properly)

Idea: Could you make widget to desktop where i could easily set autodisconnect to be on or off? There is some scenarios i need it to be on, but i wouldn't like to surf into menu :-)
